Neil did his research on consultancy company's that could support our bid of a summit attempt of Mt Everest.
After talking to various company's we have come the the decision to work alongside Adventure Consultants based in New Zealand directed by Guy Cotter.
We Have come up with a 3 stage plan that should have us ready for a attempt at Everest in March 2012.
- Mont Blanc for 10 days of technical training and a summit attempt.
- Cho Oyu for a 5 week expedition.
- Mount Everest
There will be allot of training off the mountain and trips to Scotland, Wales, the Lake to prepare for this huge task.

The Charities
With such a big challenge I thought it was the perfect opportunity to raise money for charity. Last year I was part of a team of 6 that raised £15,000 for Help for Heroes.
A obvious first choice was to continue my support for Help for Heroes, a charity that I truly believe in. The next charity was chosen due to my connection with Sir Michael Parkinson, patron of Alexander Devine Children's Hospice, a charity that I was always keen to work with.
I look forward to working with both charities and hope to raise a large amount of funds to continue there valuable work.

Altitude Testing - Putney
Neil and I visited the Altitude Centre in Putney. Richard took us through a series of tests to see how our bodies tolerate altitude. The result showed that we both can deal with low levels of oxygen and recover well.
Richard gave us the all clear and said as long as the right acclimatisation programme was in place this challenge was achievable.
With this advise the next step was finding the right consultancy to put a plan together to get us ready for Everest in a year.
Decreasing the levels of oxygen and taking us to 15,000ft
